How did you first get interested in New Thought/Religious Science?
I was introduced to New Thought about 24 years ago with a gift subscription to Unity’s Daily Word. I didn’t attend a New Thought Church until I moved to Phoenix in 1992 and started attending Unity. I came to Religious Science, and CLF, in 2000. It was the powerful affirmative nature of the teachings, and the absence of fear-based messages, that attracted me in the beginning. It’s been the empowering and life-affirming and inclusiveness of the philosophy and practice that keeps me coming.

Who are some of your most significant teachers/mentors?
The most significant teachers for me are those who are genuine in their life expression, walk their talk and I see them creating and living the life that they want with increasing inner peace and happiness. There have been very visible teachers, such as ministers and, in my 12 Step experience, sponsors, as well as those individuals who I run into in my every day experiences. I look for them everywhere…next door, in a store, even in movies and books and in the news.

Do you have an area (such as health, prosperity, pets, etc.) that you’re drawn to?
Not particularly. The same “truths” underlie all the issues so I think most can be addressed. If I feel a particular challenge in an area, I will let the individual know and we can decide together whether or not to continue.

Do you prefer to work face-to-face, over the phone, or other ways?
Face-to-face is probably the most connecting, but I can, and have, worked just as “connectedly” over the phone. With scheduling challenges of everyone these days, and sometimes the urgency of the need, these might dictate the manner of how we work. Spirit knows no bounds, so either way works!

How long have you been a Practitioner?
I have been a Practitioner since August, 2006.

Are you a native of Arizona?
I have lived here since 1992. But, I’m originally from Chicago and there are so many Chicagoans in Phoenix, that I feel like I’m almost a native.

Did you start in another religion?
I was brought up Jewish but have never seriously practiced Judaism. While I am interested and fascinated by many of the Jewish teachings and its mysticism, I do not practice it now. I have explored Christianity as well, as an adult. Again, while I adhere to the core teachings of Jesus Christ, I do not practice Christianity as my religion. My explorations, however, have given me some insight into these other faiths and have strengthened my grounding in the universal Truths taught in New Thought.
