Recipients of our efforts have included Sand Dollar Discovery House, Habitat for Humanity, Aunt Rita’s Foundation, Maricopa County Pediatric and Neonatal Units, and Homeward Bound just to name a few. Also through this ministry, CLF is a collection center for donation items for the Sand Dollar Thrift Store.

Members Connect Ministry

Our Vision
To support an ever expanding CLF community, lovingly connected and actively engaged in the welcoming and integration of new members and to be a part of the net that serves and connects the CLF community.

Our Mission
The Members Connect Ministry is guided by the Principles of Love, Compassion, Divine Wisdom, Openness, Expansion and Open Communication.  Living from those Principles, it   supports the deeper connections of CLF congregants as they move into a new relationship with the CLF as members.  This is done by supporting the New Member Orientation, by administering the New Member Mentor Program and by other activities to acknowledge, support and guide new members.

How You Can Be Involved
There are opportunities to be served by this ministry and to serve.  New members to CLF are offered the opportunity to receive a mentor for three months which we believe will help with assimilation into our church community.   And for those who have been members for a time and who have met a few other requirements, the opportunity to serve as a mentor is available.   Or we invite you to join the team, share your ideas and become a part of this net of connection.

We annually host a Family Treasure Hunt and Game Day the Saturday before Easter as well as a Fall Festival around Halloween and a Parents’ Day Out in early December. In addition, the Ministry has held Science of Mind Day Camps in the summer.
