Mary McNabb

How did you first get interested in New Thought/ Religious Science?
I had been looking for a spiritual community for some time. When I found 1st church of Religious Science. I knew that it was this teaching [Science of Mind] that I’d been searching for. I joined the church and started taking classes.

Who are some of your most significant teachers/mentors?
Ernest Holmes, who founded Religious Science…Joel Goldsmith, Joseph Murphy, Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle and so many other wonderful authors who have inspired with their words. I have two very clear and very dear friends in Ruthie and Billie. During the past 17 years my mentors have been the wonderful ministers, teachers and practitioners of Pacific Church/Vision Church, in San Diego CA. I am inspired by Rev. Michele, the Ministers and the Practitioners of CLF and am very grateful to be joining this community.

Do you prefer to work face-to-face, over the phone, or other ways?
I don’t have a preference but I find, because we’re all busy, it’s easier to schedule phone meetings.

How long have you been a Practitioner?
I was licensed in 1992.

Do you have an area that you are drawn to?
No. What ever the issue…. the truth never changes.

Are you a native of Arizona?
No I’m not a native. I was born and raised in Stratford Conn. and have just returned to Arizona after about 20 years in California.

Did you start in another religion?
My mother was raised in the Church of England and Dad was raised Roman Catholic.  They couldn’t agree on which to raise us, so we were raised agnostic.

What is your greatest joy about being a Practitioner?
Witnessing transformation in peoples lives……and prayer, which is to me is ‘communing with God.”
