Our vision is to support and facilitate the spiritual growth of each child in a safe, loving and nurturing environment and in accordance with Science of Mind principles.
In addition to providing Sunday nursery and youth services for ages 6 through 17, our Youth Ministry regularly has special events, some geared specifically for our teens and preteens, such as basketball, hiking and x-treme Frisbee, and others for our children of all ages. We annually host a Family Treasure Hunt and Game Day the Saturday before Easter as well as a Fall Festival around Halloween and a Parents’ Day Out in early December. In addition, the Ministry has held Science of Mind Day Camps in the summer.
How You Can Become Involved
We have ongoing opportunities for you to share your love with our children. Those opportunities include: serving as a teacher one or more Sundays per month; serving as a teacher’s aide; being in rotation to provide child care at special events; being a “Special Gifts Sharer” by sharing your special talents, gifts, or passions with our children on the last Sunday of the month; or assisting with the Summer Day Camp. With the exception of Special Gift Sharers, any individual wishing to serve in our Youth Ministry in any capacity must be at least 18 years of age and must have completed an Application and Pledge of Service, and those desiring to teach must have taken the Foundations of Practical Spirituality class.
