How did you first get interest in New Thought/Religious Science? I attended a Healthy Eating seminar, which included dinner and a lecture, held at a church in Morristown, NJ. A church member was the sponsor. She gave us a flyer with information about their Religious Science church. Their philosophy was very much in alignment with my own thinking. But...they had a sign, that said, "Meditation every Sunday, before service." I was interested in learning to meditate and that is what brought me to the first service. I later found out that Prayer and Meditation go hand in hand with Religious Science. I needed both and I found my spiritual home.
Who are some of your most significant teachers/mentors? I have to say, that most significant mentor has been Dr. Michael Beckwith. This will include the most inspirational songstress, Ricky Byers Beckwith. Her music is like the “salsa”, that makes everything blend so well together.
Do you prefer to work face to face, over the phone, or other ways? It does not matter. It is all good.
How long have you been a practitioner? I was licensed as a Practitioner in 2001.
Native of Arizona? No. I was born in Puerto Rico. My parents moved to Brooklyn, NY in the 60's. As an adult, I raised my children in New Jersey. My oldest daughter moved to the Valley in 2003. I followed in 2004.
Did you start in another religion? Yes, I practiced Buddhism for 10 years.
What is my greatest joy in being a Practitioner? My greatest joy as a Practitioner is when people ask me to pray for them, come back to share their happy results and are more awake and aware of their own conscious connection with the Divine.
